"Light Designs at Dusk": Finger Lakes by Anita Estes
Light
is one of the most marvelous mysteries of this life. The sun glittering
on the water like diamonds is a vision of heaven. The interplay of
light and shadow is the subject of many artists' canvases. One who is
able to capture the dance of light on water as in this photo or on a person's face has explored the depths of color. My desire is to capture a
glimpse of this light that the spirit of God has shown me and pass it onto you
in this newsletter. To make it worth your while for you in these busy

A
sinister, dark force hovers over the unsuspecting valley, when artist
Margo Pierson discovers a tattered letter illuminating a mysterious
ancestor and warning them of "a diabolical evil that stalks this town."
Though preoccupied with preparations for the prestigious craft show,
Margo, the young potter is catapulted into a quest to unearth the truth
and expose the unusual murder of her namesake. Unwittingly, she and her
companions stumble upon an ancient stone that holds the secret to both
the past and present dangers.
Book Review: Sensible Shoes
Though
fiction, I loved how the book dealt with a spiritual journey that you
could join with and participate. I learned something from all the
characters about myself and my own spiritual journey, as well as others.
All the characters, brash and bold, quiet and timid, self-centered and
productive and the goodie two shoes Christian taught me something about
myself. It was refreshing to read a Christian book that dealt honestly
with important issues: heart attitudes, motives, sex, self-centeredness,
jealousy etc. I journeyed right along with these women. Freshly
written, simple yet profound.
