As a recent neophyte book author I just wish 'Sell More Books' had been available a lot sooner. This info filled book by Steve and Cherie MIller would have made my struggle to get published a lot easier. This book opens the world of book creation in a way that I badly needed and does it in an easily read but comprehensive way. Whether you are a new author, like me, or an experienced one,this book would be an extremely useful addition to your life and library.

"> Sensible Shoes: I loved everything about this book, except the title. It seemed too pat for my likes. Anyway, on the positive side, I loved how the book dealt with a spiritual journey that you could join along with. I learned something from all the characters about myself and my own spiritual journey, as well as others.All the characters, brash and bold, quiet and timid, self-centered and productive and the goodie two shoes Christian taught me something about myself. It was refreshing to read a Christian book that dealt honestly with important issues: heart attitudes, motives, sex, self-centeredness, jealousy etc. I journeyed right along with these women. Freshly written, simple yet profound. I also learned much from the character who was the spiritual leader. I want to be her! What a wonderful, loving woman. 5 stars out of 5 Estes' writing is straightforward, fluent and easy to read, so much so that I was tempted to rush through the book (it's a page turner) without taking time to grasp the seriousness and depth of the narrative. The final outcome is proof positive that God does answer prayers, but not before Estes, her husband, who himself is battling self-esteem issues, and their two other children come out of denial and face the reality that their loved one is a drug addict and needs to be treated with the tough love that eventually helps in Ben's recovery. This book should be required reading in schools to help parents and students recognize the dangers of alcohol as a gateway to harsher drugs, a fact often overlooked. Read More

Windows of the Soul: Enjoyed the various plotlines, but found it just a little odd that a number of pages were written about Evan Kentwell in the prologue and then he appears and disappears throughout the book with no resolution to his plot. Very Southern feel to the writing. Interesting characters though I did get quite annoyed with the female protagonist, Mattie. She sure was stubborn not to see what she had in Cotton, the hero of the story. Makes you want to say to her, "Wake up girl!" Plot moves along quickly and exciting events develop later in the book.
